Avnish is a businessman with an interest in sustainable housing. His belief in Ahimsa (non-harm) has inspired him to take on climate action. Avnish believes that Hindus have a large role to play in tackling the ongoing climate emergency as our values can help reduce the harm, we’re doing to Mother Earth.

Priya is a master’s student reading Chemistry at the University of Bristol. She’s been a committee member for her University’s Hindu society for three years and is now in charge of developing HCA’s online strategy. She uses multiple platforms to raise awareness of our work and is passionate about creating a climate conversation within our community.

Jasmine is a recent graduate with a passion for environment and climate change policy, both at home and internationally. Now working in policy, she is committed to combining policy and grassroots environmental action.

Ramila is a founding member of the Leicester friends of the Oxford centre for Hindu studies. She is also an active member of the interfaith community in Leicester. Ramila is HCA’s Partnership & Outreach coordinator and is responsible for building relations with interfaith groups and Hindu organisations including temples and youth groups.

Devena is a recent graduate with a keen interest within climate economics and policy. She has experience lobbying council through grassroots activity in her local community. As a former member of the National Hindu Student Forum committee, Devena has a strong passion for mobilising students to initiate sustainable ideas which are inherently in line with our core values and teachings.

Aashna is studying for a degree in Music at the University of Bristol. She enjoys creating discussions about how we, as Hindus, can contribute to building a sustainable future. She is passionate about working with wider communities and engaging in conversations with Mandirs in order to spread environmental awareness.

Rajesh has a passion for teaching Sanātana Vedic Dharma (Hinduism). His understanding of the Rishi’s teachings has led to an interest in driving environmental changes and understanding how we can all live a more sustainable life. Rajesh is HCA’s resources coordinator responsible for creating content around climate change and the Hindu view towards the environment. Ultimately, providing resources to Hindu organisations that’ll help them ‘Go Green’.

Aneesh just graduated in Biology at the University of Bristol. He has a keen passion for spreading Environmental Awareness and tackling Plastic Pollution. He aims to bring out solidarity and equality amongst the environmental movement that affects every human and to see more Hindus step up to take a stance.
